The most common way to change the players on your roster is to drop one or more of your current players and replace them with free agents (another way is to trade). Free agents are players not assigned to any fantasy team, available to the first owner that wants them.

To drop a player, to pick up a player, or to simply browse the list of available free agents, click the LINEUP tab in your league home. All free agents are on the left, split up by position. Your current lineup is on the right.
Below is a sample drop and pickup. Ray Allen is dropped and free agent Shareef-Abdur Rahim is being picked up.

You can see your transaction (and every other transaction in the league) by clicking the TRADE tab and visiting the trade page.

At the bottom, you'll see something like this:

You can drop any number of players at once, and can pick up as many free agents as you want - provided you have room on your roster. Here are a couple things to know and keep in mind:
- You can't drop players or pick up free agents until your draft is complete. The whole point of the draft is to make sure everybody gets a fair chance to choose players in a fair order. Being allowed to pick up a free agent would negate this.
- Nothing happens until click the "Save Change to Lineup" button on the lineup page. You can move players around without consequence before you hit the button. Make sure you remember to do so, or all your changes will be lost when you leave the page.
- It is possible to have more than 12 players on your team, but you can't pick up any free agents until you have 11 or less players on your team.
- You don't have to have 12 players on your team and can leave spots open, but it is not recommended.
- You can also switch a player's position before saving if you want.
- You will see some players in both the guard and forward or forward and center boxes. This is intentional, because some players can play more than one position. We did this to make it easy to find the player you want. Both player listings are removed if a player is picked up.
- It may take a few seconds for your browser to drop a player. Your computer is trying to figure out where the player should go in the free agent list. If you are patient, it will eventually drop the player. We have found the older the browser is, the longer it may take. We are working on a better solution.
